Resident Evil Re:Verse is a multiplayer game that lets players take control of iconic RE characters and villains. This third person shooter has a similar gameplay to Dead by Daylight, but there’s more. It will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. To play the game, you will need a Capcom ID.
Players will be able to choose from six human characters and five monster variants. The game is played in 5-minute deathmatches. A respawn option is provided, but players can only do so once they kill another player. During the match, the aim is to beat another team in different locations.
Resident Evil Re:Verse will be released on October 28. In addition to the base game, the package will include the Gold Edition, which includes the campaign expansion, as well as the third-person mode. You can also download the game through backward compatibility. As with other multiplayer games, you can also play in solo mode.
The Re:Verse launch trailer showed a new Resident Evil Village location and a new werewolf creature. There was also a brief glimpse of gameplay in the video.
While the gameplay is largely uninspired, the concept of having to battle other players in different locations is certainly interesting. However, the battles are too short to be enjoyable. If you’re not familiar with third-person multiplayer shooters, you’ll likely lose patience with Re:Verse after a few minutes.
Those who purchase the Re:Verse bundle will get access to a 30-level Battle Pass. This might be enough to keep some players interested. But there’s no word on when Capcom plans to add more content.
When the game first announced, Resident Evil Village was set to launch as a separate multiplayer title. However, since then, the developer has repeatedly delayed the release of the multiplayer add-on.
The delay hasn’t stopped the developers from showing off new footage during Resident Evil Showcase streams. They’ve also revealed a new character and an updated map. These updates will be available for download following the game’s official launch.
The Mercenaries mode was also expected to be part of the game. However, the mode hasn’t delivered much fun to those who tried it. That’s a shame. Considering the fact that it was planned to be the multiplayer component of Re:Verse, it would have been a nice improvement.
Those who are waiting for the game to release can take advantage of a two-day early access period. Starting on October 23, the early access will run from 19:00 to 23:00 PDT. After the event, players will have access to a challenge mission and two stages.
The first content update will introduce a new Stage, as well as eight costumes. This will be followed by the second content update, which will add an additional Survival and some new costumes. Finally, the third content update will introduce a new Creature.
As of today, there is no specific release date for the final version of the game. Despite this, there are still a few major events coming up in the next few days.
